PPTX is the PowerPoint format introduced with Office 2007 and standardized as Office Open XML. Each slide, layout, master, chart and image is a separate part inside a ZIP archive.
Modern decks default to 16:9. Older decks use 4:3, which still turns up in uploads and is a common source of layout bugs in preview tools.
